1. Processing

Orders are prepared once the quotation has been confirmed. Material is dispatched from the United States.

Because every shipment is temperature-controlled, dispatch is scheduled so that material is not held in transit over a weekend or public holiday where that can be avoided.

2. Cold chain

Material is supplied as lyophilized powder in sealed vials and shipped with ice packs in insulated packaging. Lyophilized material is stable for the duration of ordinary transit, and ice packs arriving partially or fully thawed does not by itself indicate that the material is compromised.

On arrival, the receiving laboratory should transfer vials to storage at -20 °C, protected from light, without delay.

3. Destinations and restrictions

We supply institutional and research purchasers. Availability of a destination depends on the carrier and on the import rules that apply to laboratory reference material in the destination country.

We may decline to ship to a destination where we cannot establish that the shipment can lawfully be received.

4. Import responsibility

Shipments are sent on delivered-duty-unpaid terms unless agreed otherwise in writing. The purchaser is the importer of record and is responsible for import duties, taxes, customs brokerage and for any permit or documentation required in the destination country.

The purchaser is responsible for confirming, before ordering, that the material may lawfully be imported into and held in their jurisdiction.

5. Customs holds

Where a shipment is held by customs, we will provide the documentation we hold for the lot, including the certificate of analysis and the commercial invoice, to support release. Responding to customs enquiries is the responsibility of the importer of record.

Where a shipment is refused entry, seized or returned by the authorities of the destination country, the cost of return or disposal falls to the purchaser, and the order is not refundable on that ground.

6. Tracking and delivery

A tracking reference is provided for every shipment. Title and risk of loss pass to the purchaser on delivery to the carrier.
