1. What we collect

We collect what you send us, the technical data described in the next paragraph, and the cookies described in section 5. If you contact us by e-mail or phone, what you send us is the content of your message and the contact details you provide. If you submit a quote request through the form on this site, when it is available, what you send us is your name, e-mail address, organization, the products you selected, the quantity, your confirmation of intended use, and any message and phone number you choose to provide.

Our servers record standard technical information for each request, including IP address and timestamp. We use this to apply rate limiting and to investigate abuse.

2. Why we hold it

• To respond to your request — we cannot prepare a quotation without your contact details and the products you are asking about.
• To keep a record of the intended-use confirmation — our Terms of Sale restrict supply to research purchasers; for quote requests submitted through the form on this site, the confirmation is the record of that.
• To protect the service — technical request data is used to limit automated abuse of the contact form.

3. Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the performance of, or steps taken prior to entering into, a contract for the processing of quote requests, and on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse for the processing of technical request data.

4. Retention

Quote request correspondence is retained for as long as needed to answer it, to keep a record of the supply relationship and to meet legal record-keeping obligations. Technical request logs are retained for a short operational period and then discarded.

5. Cookies

This site sets two cookies, both strictly functional. One records your language preference so that you are not redirected away from the language you chose. The other records that you have confirmed your intended use, so that the confirmation is not shown on every page.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you across sites.

6. Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information. We disclose it only: to the service providers listed in section 7, which process it on our behalf; to a carrier, where necessary to fulfil an order; and where required by law.

7. Service providers

This site relies on the service providers below. Each is listed with the service it provides and the data that passes through it.

• Vercel — website hosting. Data involved: technical request data, including IP address; and, when a quote request is submitted through the form, the data in that request, which is processed there before delivery.
• Cloudflare — DNS and forwarding of e-mail sent to the company’s contact address. Data involved: messages sent to that address.
• Resend — delivery of quote requests submitted through this site. Data involved: the name, e-mail address, organization, phone number, message, products and quantity entered in the form, the site language and the intended-use confirmation.
• Google (Gmail) — storage of e-mail received at the company’s contact address. Data involved: contact messages and, when the form is available, quote requests.
• Stripe — payment processing for purchases made on this site, when checkout is available. Data involved: name, e-mail address, phone number, shipping address and payment details. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own page and do not pass through this site’s servers.

8. Your rights

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Where the CCPA and CPRA apply, California residents may request to know what personal information we have collected, request its deletion or correction, and are entitled not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information, so there is no sale to opt out of.

The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected there.
