1. What we collect
We collect only what you send us. When you submit a quote request, that is your name, e-mail address, organization, the products you selected, the quantity, your confirmation of intended use, and any message and phone number you choose to provide.
Our servers record standard technical information for each request, including IP address and timestamp. We use this to apply rate limiting and to investigate abuse.
2. Why we hold it
- To respond to your request — we cannot prepare a quotation without your contact details and the products you are asking about.
- To keep a record of the intended-use confirmation — we are required to supply research materials only to research purchasers, and the confirmation is the record of that.
- To protect the service — technical request data is used to limit automated abuse of the contact form.
3. Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the performance of, or steps taken prior to entering into, a contract for the processing of quote requests, and on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse for the processing of technical request data.
4. Retention
Quote request correspondence is retained for as long as needed to answer it and to keep a record of the supply relationship, and is then deleted. Technical request logs are retained for a short operational period and then discarded.
5. Cookies
This site sets two cookies, both strictly functional. One records your language preference so that you are not redirected away from the language you chose. The other records that you have confirmed your intended use, so that the confirmation is not shown on every page.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you across sites.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or share personal information. We do not disclose it to third parties except where necessary to fulfil an order, such as to a carrier, or where required by law.
7. Your rights
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Where the CCPA and CPRA apply, California residents may request to know what personal information we have collected, request its deletion or correction, and are entitled not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information, so there is no sale to opt out of.
The data controller is the entity identified at the top of this page. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details shown there.
